Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to access to and use of Worklix. It is designed to protect customers, users, individuals whose work information may be processed, and the reliability and security of the Worklix service.
Customers remain responsible for deciding how Worklix is configured and used inside their organization, including whether notices, consent, consultation, or other legal requirements apply to workforce monitoring or data processing.
1. Prohibited use
You may not use Worklix for activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or intended to harm another person, organization, system, or service.
Prohibited use includes using Worklix to facilitate unauthorized surveillance, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, credential theft, malware distribution, unlawful data collection, or activity that infringes another person’s rights.
Do not use the service to collect information you are not authorized to collect, impersonate another user, evade workplace or legal safeguards, or support conduct that would be illegal if performed without Worklix.
2. Security and access boundaries
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to Worklix accounts, infrastructure, APIs, connected systems, or data belonging to another customer or user.
You must not probe, scan, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer where prohibited by law, bypass security controls, interfere with service availability, or use credentials that you are not authorized to use.
3. Respectful use of the platform
Worklix must not be used to threaten, harass, intimidate, discriminate against, or target people in ways that violate applicable law, contractual obligations, or an organization’s own workplace policies.
Workforce data should be interpreted in context. Activity, idle time, screenshots, application usage, attendance, and similar signals should not be treated as automatic proof of misconduct without appropriate review.
4. Workforce privacy and transparency
Customers are responsible for using monitoring and workforce-management features in a way that is appropriate for their jurisdiction, workforce, and purpose. This can include providing notice, obtaining consent where required, limiting monitoring to legitimate business purposes, and respecting employee or contractor rights.
Features should be configured so that access follows a real business need. Sensitive workforce information should not be exposed to managers, administrators, or third parties who do not need it for their role.
5. Content, files, and customer data
You may only upload, share, store, or process content and data that you have the right to use. Do not use Worklix to distribute illegal content, malicious files, confidential information obtained without authorization, or material that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
Customers are responsible for the information they submit to the service and for maintaining appropriate internal rules around retention, access, sharing, and deletion.
6. Automated and high-volume activity
Automated use must not degrade the service, circumvent documented limits, create excessive load, scrape information without authorization, or interfere with other customers’ ability to use Worklix.
Any integration, script, bot, or automated workflow must use authorized access methods and remain within applicable technical and contractual limits.
7. Enforcement and service protection
If we reasonably believe use of Worklix violates this policy, creates a security risk, or threatens the service or other users, we may investigate and take proportionate steps to protect the platform.
Depending on the circumstances, those steps may include contacting the customer, restricting affected functionality, suspending access, preserving relevant records where legally appropriate, or terminating access in accordance with applicable agreements.
8. Reporting suspected misuse
If you believe Worklix is being used in a way that violates this policy, contact the Worklix team with enough information for the concern to be reviewed. Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in the report.
